HEDERA IVIES
Hedera helix ‘Don’s Papillon’ An
unusual and ornamental ivy, its dark green leaves having prominent veins and
rounded lobes that suggest the wings of a butterfly. Found
by the late Don Sharp.
Hedera helix ‘Forking Hell’ A subtly sinister ivy having dark green, slender-lobed leaves with pale veins. Every now and then it produces leaves in which the central lobe is bifurcated (forked). Other strange leaf shapes may also arise. For some reason it did not fork at all in 2007, but has been forking well again since. £4.50
HERACLEUM HOGWEEDS
Heracleum sphondylium ‘Hoggin’ the Limelight’ (S) A
distinctive, yellow-green leaved form of hogweed, the spring foliage being
particularly bright. Umbels of white
flowers in summer. Biennial to monocarpic perennial.
True from seed. Seed
hopefully available autumn; meanwhile I do have a few plants. £5.00
